Mario Guillén

Mario Guillén Ordóñez (Mérida, Yucatán, 1994) began his artistic training in 2013 and holds a degree in Visual Arts from the School of Arts of Yucatán.

His projects develop within the disciplines of drawing and painting, exploring the idea of a generational identity built through the content we are exposed to throughout our lives, especially during early development.

His work belongs to the figurative genre and often appropriates and incorporates elements of visual culture with the intention of generating a personal narrative. He has participated in four solo exhibitions and several group shows.

He has received various distinctions, such as being a beneficiary of the Contigo en la Distancia program in 2020 and the FONCA Young Creators grant in 2022.
