Xali Robles
Xali Robles (Morelia, 1990) is a visual artist whose practice moves between painting, anthropology, and storytelling. Trained in Social Anthropology at the Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia (ENAH), her work reflects a deep fascination with the invisible presences that inhabit urban and natural landscapes. Through painting, Robles centers what is often overlooked—non-human beings, shadows, and spectral forms—reimagining them with tenderness and quiet reverence.
Her practice intertwines observation and intuition, transforming the act of painting into a ritual of encounter and transformation. By drawing from her background in anthropology, literature, and psychoanalysis, her works become spaces where mythology, memory, and emotion coexist.
Robles has exhibited at the Museo Cabañas, Casa de la Cultura de Morelia, and La Trampa Gráfica Contemporánea, among others. She participated in Material Art Fair Vol. 11 with Aberrante (2025) and completed a residency at La Mano Gráfica (2020–2021). Her work invites viewers to look closer—to find life in what appears silent.
