Trastienda Machete × Abyssmo

For Abyssmo, (@abyssmo.mx)  Trastienda Machete develops a site-specific presentation of works by Diego Beyró (@diegobeyro) and Luis Leonardo Ortega (@leona_leonardo)

Abyssmo’s immersive spatial language — characterized by layered architecture, controlled illumination, and an emphasis on sensory experience — provides a framework within which the selected works articulate questions of materiality, tension, and perceptual depth. The installation is conceived as an intervention that integrates with, rather than overlays, the architectural environment.

This collaboration extends Trastienda Machete’s curatorial research into alternative exhibition ecologies. By repositioning contemporary art within spaces of daily cultural ritual, the project challenges conventional display paradigms while sustaining the intellectual and formal standards associated with institutional practice.
